If you haven’t noticed, which I know a lot of people haven’t, facebook has the typical “inbox” for private messages and then one next to it called “other.”   They decided some time ago that if they don’t think you know the person (basically if you don’t have friends in common with them) that your message will just go in the “other” box because it’s probably SPAM and unwanted.  You can get around this if you pay $1.00 (sometimes a few cents more) and it will go into the “inbox.”

If it’s really spam, why allow people to pay and send it?  If it isn’t for sure spam, why separate it?  I’m hoping that if we can all agree to not pay, and to check our “other” box, and to get the word out, I’m hoping that they’ll see it as a failure and stop the nonsense.
