Surveyed in 1863

Dedicated to the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the United States of America and sponsored by the Utah American Revolution Bicentennial Commission and Stockton Town Board.

A monument to recognize the arrival of Colonel Steptoe and his army in 1894, General Connor’s discovery of the Great Basin Mine in 1862 and the early miners of Stockton who matched the mountains. Begun in 1975 by Zettie Painter Garcia, WIlliam P. Edwards Town President and the people of Stockton.

This is located in a little roadside park at the corner of Connor Avenue and Silver Avenue in Stockton, Utah along with other historic markers. Those located here are:
