The Meat and Produce Co. building was erected in 1898. It is an elaborate example of Victorian commercial architecture. It originally housed the Meat and Produce Co. Later it was occupied by a printing firm and the Mt. Pleasant Pyramid newspaper.

This building is significant as one of the more elaborate examples of Victorian commercial architecture on Main Street.

Built about 1898 on the west edge of the area burned out by the fire of 1898, the building housed the “Meat and Produce Co.” and later, “electrical printing” firm and the Mt. Pleasant Pyramid newspaper. The “Beauty Spot” salon now occupies the building.

One story brick commercial building with a stone foundation. The ornate parapet is decorated with rusticated and polychrome brick corbelling and dentilling. The inscription plaque in the center of the parapet is now blank.

The fenestration is largely intact; one doorway in the splayed entry has been reduced and the transoms have been painted.
