Brown’s Fort is one of the 10 forts that were in the Ogden, Utah area between 1846 and 1861. A lot of sources say that Fort Buenaventura and Brown’s Fort were the same – just named differently at different times but Brown’s Fort (1850) was actually a little Southeast of Fort Buenaventura (1846).

In the image below Fort Buenaventura is the (1) and Brown’s Fort is the (3).
