The Spanish Fork 5th Ward chapel broke ground on September 17, 1929 and was dedicated nearly ten years later on March 27, 1939 by Heber J. Grant. The cost to construct it was $51,000 and the architect was Claude Shepherd Ashworth. Around 1980 it became the Chillon Reception Center.

I heard that the design was to represent the Book of Mormon opening. Where the front doors are is the spine of the book.
