Sculptor Avard Fairbanks had a prestigious career. He sculpted public monuments throughout the U.S., served as the dean of the University of Utah’s College of Fine Arts, and championed classical and traditional art throughout his life. He stated, “The arts are created for contemplation and edification, the expression of the highest ambitions and the spiritual hope of a people.”
