Resorts World Las Vegas is built on the site of the legendary former Stardust Resort and Casino. One of the most legendary names in Las Vegas history. The Stardust Resort and Casino operated on this site from July 2, 1958 until November 1, 2006. The marquee reimagined here was perhaps one of the most famous iterations of the Stardust marquee that stood over the Las Vegas Strip from 1968 to 1991. Resorts World Las Vegas embraces the inspiration that the shimmering Stardust marquee embodied the dreams, imagination and inspiration for people around the world that come to Las Vegas and experience the magic of this oasis in the desert.
This sculpture is an inspirational tribute to the hopes, dreams and joys of millions and millions of visitors who have enjoyed this part of Las Vegas. Demolished in March 2007 to make way for future development, the Stardust name lives on today as the brand of Boyd Gaming’s interactive gaming operations, including the Stardust Social Casino.
