The building has been highly altered.

In the early 1930s this building was built to replace a two-story structure which had been built about 1900. Sewell’s United Stores grocery operated in the building.

In the mid 1940s the Utah Valley Furniture Co. (Charles D. Sessions, President; Ernest C. Saleruo, vice-president; Harold S. Hurtze, Secretary/treasurer) took over this building as they had done the building to the east.

This flat roofed, one-story brick building has been altered into a blandness which exceeds that of the original.

When Utah Valley Furniture Co. took over the building about 1947 they had additional warehouse buildings added at the rear of this building and around the building to the east. An entrance was created between the two buildings.
