This one-story brick building has been greatly altered. The front display windows have been filled in. The curviliniar cornice has been brightly painted.

Extensive remodeling occurred in 1969 and 1972.

This was one of several buildings built in the block in the early 1920s—representing an expansion in Provo’s economy.

In 1922 Skaggs Cash Stores opened a store at 247 West Center with H. L. Brown as the manager.

The building has since been highly altered.
