211 South 300 East in Salt Lake City, Utah

Sequoiadendron Giganteum (Giant Sequoia) at the Salt Lake City Fire Station #1, planted as a memorial to police and firefighters who died on September 11, 2001. Assuming it was planted that year or soon after, it’s had a good rate of growth. The base is on slightly lower ground than the flagpole, but the tree is still taller. – Sam Dunford
