Planning for the Rose Park neighborhood was intentional from the beginning. This includes the location of Rose Park Elementary, while the original school was demolished in 2001 this location has been serving the educational needs of the Rose Park community for over 50 years. The children had the opportunity to watch the new school be built while attending the original school. The new school was officially opened in the Fall of 2001. Today, Rose Park Elementary addresses the needs of approximately 550 children and their families. Additional services such as an on-site health clinic, family counseling, a quality after-school program, adult evening classes, and extended hours provide a space where families come together.
