The Conoco Service Station, now Wild Bill’s Express, is located on Main Street in Parowan. Built c. 1950, this one story gas station has a flat roof, parapet walls and a projecting canopy resting on two slender poles. The gas pumps sit on a separate island under the canopy. During the 1950s, Conoco never developed dramatic or unusual architectural forms for its stations. They tended to follow the larger trends of the period and continued to use the oblong box in a modern or international style.
