Ira Williams House

Ira Williams built this home in 1899. Built with double layers of bricks with an air space between, the walls never sweat. This home was the first home in Hyrum to have running water. It was piped in from the spring across the street to the west. Pay particular attention to the scalloped gables and the decorative upper gables. The corner work over the two small windows on each side of the house is the same as on the Soren Hansen home across the street. The spindled widow’s walk is now gone.
