The house was originally built and owned by Charles I. Goodwin, a businessman and landholder in Logan. He was one of the five Goodwin brothers who had considerable reputation in the valley. They jointly owned a ranch and store in early Logan. Later they divided the land and store. C. F. Goodwin then lived in this home
