The Hans C. Jensen House in Ephraim is architecturally significant as an
example of Scandinavian folk building design in Utah. The house contributes historically to the thematic nomination, “The Scandinavian-American Pair-house in Utah.”

Hans. C. Jensen was born in Housenge, Denmark in-1845. Joining the LDS Church in the early 1860s, he emigrated to Utah in 1866 and settled at Ephraim. Jensen was a farmer, served on the city council, and was active in the local Danish ward meeting.
