Erected August 23, 1936 in honor of Glen Neal McDonald
Son of James G. and Lillie Ann McDonald

This tablet has been placed in Brighton, his mountain home, by friends who loved and revered him for his unselfish service as teacher and friend, and as a sterling example of young manhood.

On top of this rock, he taught his class each Sunday morning, gathered here by his tolling of the bell and visiting the cottages to invite the people to Sunday religious services.

May this humble memorial to him inspire in all who see it the lofty purpose to serve others.
