Above: The Commercial Club was in the empty, fenced off area next to (to the right of) the old fire house.)

1864 – 65 this building survived the ravages of fire as well as gunfire.

Probably used at first as a social center, later to be used by interested citizens and businessmen.

Organized as “The Pioche Commercial Club,” its purpose was to work for the betterment of the town, to promote business and industry into the area as well as bring the community together for the good of all.
