566 5th Avenue
This bungalow was one of three constructed on this block for investment purposes in 1924 by Ellerby Searle Co. When the house was completed, it was sold to Julia Ann Almond and her sister, Rebecca, a music teacher at the McCune School of Music. They lived in the home for two years, after which they rented it to, among others, Samuel and Afton Kalm. After renting the house for four years, the Kalms purchased the property in 1931 and lived here until 1934, when they began maintaining it as a rental unit. Since then, there have been several subsequent owners.
