This house was constructed in 1890 by the Taylor, Romney & Armstrong Co. as a rental property for William S. and Lillian Romney. They moved here permanently in 1902. The house was designed in the Victorian Eclectic style that was popular during that era. William was a businessman, working for various companies, including ZCMI for 44 years. The house remained in the Romney family for over one hundred years, until 2009. Over time, the house was altered, but in 2023 the Lajoie-Osmond family had the home restored to its original appearance.
