In 1911 the Ellen Theatre opened in Provo with E. G. Epperson as manager. In 1917 the name and the manager changed – Strand Theatre and Raymond E. Sutton respectively Sutton showed “High Class Motion Pictures, Always Something Good.” The theatre was only one of Sutton f s many business interests.
