My Uncle Vallon Veater and his band played for the dances at the Shady Dell.
My ancestors, the Levies (my 3x great grandparents) owned the Shady Dell. My great grandma, Betty Anderton Baker is 100 and often talks about going there as a child. Her father, Don Anderton, played the fiddle and also played for the dances.
