2208 East Keller Lane in Millcreek, Utah

from findagrave:
It is believed that Alva Keller built this home at 2208 Keller Lane in about 1865. It is just south and west of the intersection of Keller Lane and Alva Circle. At that time it was a one-room home of about 14’X 14′ and high so that a stairway ran up through the ceiling, and sleeping quarters were upstairs. Two small windows in the gable at both ends made it light. The floor of the upstairs was the ceiling of the downstairs. The rafters were white washed as were the walls. Often, a lime and water mixture were used for the white wash. The old iron stove set out several feet into the room and went up through the ceiling. The chimney was all the heat the upstairs room ever had. Today, the home has additions of large sunny windows, a patio, lawns, flowers and pavement and inside many modern conveniences. But, the white pine floors may be original. They are at least old. In 2005, the owners said that there have only been 4 owners total.
