Jacob Houtz House

The Jacob Houtz home was located about where Heritage Park is at 1100 North Main Street in Springville, Utah.

He is mentioned on the D.U.P. Historic Marker located there – First Mills in Utah County. He had the lime kilns east on the foothills and the tailings (white piles) can still be seen.

The home was built in 1863, the nomination form for the Alma Staker home in Mt. Pleasant says that it and this were the only two fully realized temple form houses in Utah.
