Along the Jordan River Parkway Trail in Salt Lake I found this peace labyrinth. It’s pretty cool, I actually found it in 2008 and put a geocache there for others to find and see it as well. I went back now to take some pictures for the blog and to submit it to be a portal in the game Ingress.
More photos of the same labyrinth can be seen here: Jordan River Peace Labyrinth
The information on the plaque is faded. But I heard it was placed to celebrate the rich diversity between the cultures that live along the Jordan River.
There are benches all around it and many colorful mosaics and other creative art at the site.
The Jordan River Peace Labyrinth is a pretty cool place to visit. If you want to go it is just north of 1700 South. Here’s a map:

Hi Jacob, Linda Nowlin here. Is there a possibility you could take down the graffiti picture? Also are you in Salt Lake. I’d love to have someone approach the city about maintaining this place. My husband at the time and I created this labyrinth as we were working through a divorce, so it’s a very special place to me of healing and know that it has been for others too. Too sad to see this. I rarely get up to SLC this days, since I’m in Phoenix now, but my son and many friends are still there, along with my ex-husband. I wonder how we could go about getting it maintained a little bit better by the SLC Parks and Arts Organizations. They are the ones who gave us the commission in 2000-2001 I believe.
Linda .. I would like to help you with this. I have not been there by a friend told me of it awhile back. I don’t think many people are aware this little cultural jewel exists. I hope we can connect and make your wishes come true. Jeanne Rowell
Thanks, Jeanne! Are you in SLC? I live in Phoenix now, but I’m up in SLC several times a year since my son is there. Call me or write to me: 801-979-8432 or at lucertola.linda@gmail.com
