The granite grist stone came from the first flour mill founded in Springville City. The mill was built in 1883 by Moses Childs, great grandfather to Ada Childs Taylor. The mill stood approximately 100 feet north of this location. (Conover Park)

This flag pole and flower grist wheel donated to Springville City by Morris & Ada Childs Taylor in honor of their son, specialist Kent Childs Taylor who was killed in Vietnam on May 14, 1970.
