This is the location where they filmed the scenes where “the beast” is running after Benny through the Founders Day celebration in the 1993 movie The Sandlot.

Hi Jacob…the filming location you present in The Dog Chase Part 2 is not correct. The Founders Day celebration scene was filmed in Liberty Park in Salt Lake City, not in West Bountiful City Park.
I’ve always heard that it was in Liberty Park but when I looked closer the mountains in the background of the scene say otherwise, and there is a Founder’s Day celebration in this other park. I’m open to being wrong but I can’t see how the mountains would look like that from Liberty.
I had seen that article but it being in an article doesn’t make it true, I can point to many that are wrong. If I’m wrong about the mountains and the park I’ll fix it I just haven’t seen anything other than claims from people who weren’t there until your comment. Thanks!

I suppose the view of the mountains could be a bit confusing or misleading, but I was actually in that scene (I can send you a pic but it doesn’t appear I can provide that on your blog page.) Also, see https://www.sltrib.com/artsliving/2018/08/10/take-utah-tour-sandlot/

You bet. Thank you 🙂
I’d love to see the photo you have, I can share it on this page if you’d like as well. Jacob@JacobBarlow.com
