– An historic milestone in Utah journalism –
First published on April 15, 1871, in a pioneer print shop at 33 West on 1st South, the Salt Lake Daily Tribune and Mining Gazette had an initial circulation of 2,000. In its centennial year, the Salt Lake Tribune served more than 107,000 daily and 187,000 Sunday subscribers throughout the intermountain west as one of America’s distinguished newspapers.
