I went for a little hike above Bountiful and was surprised to see dozens of cars dumped off of hillsides. I don’t see the canyon named on any maps, it is just above the “B” on the mountainside.
I grew up in Bountiful and Car Dump Canyon was called “Dead Man’s” by those of who grew up in that area and are familiar with that location. Wow and I grew up there wasn’t a rail system installed to prevent cars from going off the edge of the road and plummeting in the canyon whether accidental or purposeful. We heard stories of accidental deaths from mostly high school students who had been partying up the mountain at Buckland Flats underestimating the grade of the curve. There was even one an attempted suicide by someone I went to high school with and thankfully he was unsuccessful.

Interesting, thanks for sharing.
