This 1892 home was the residence of John H. Lee and his wife Emma Kelsey Lee, located at 597 North 300 West in Mapleton, Utah.
This home was also used as a filming location for the 2001 movie “Brigham City.”

This building, now part of JW Storage at 1940 S State St in Springville, Utah was part of the Springville-Mapleton Sugar Company until 1930 when it was purchased by the U and I Sugar Company, it was shut down in 1940.

The old public school in Mapleton, Utah. It was located about where the newer Mapleton Elementary is – 100 West Maple Street.

inThe old Mapleton City hall (above) was located at the northeast corner of Maple and Main, the same place as the later city hall (below).
After that, a newer city hall building was built behind central bank a few blocks north.

This barn at 800 North Highway 89 in Mapleton is gone now, it was demolished in I believe 2016 but I spent most of my life seeing it most days and grew to love it.

Mapleton Market was built by Vance Gividen, run by Spence Mackley, Art Harmer and Vern Marrot. Located next to the white church on Maple street.

Holley’s Service Station (from uvu.contentdm.oclc.org)
At junction of Maple Street and Highway 89. Opened consistently at 6:00 am and closed at 9:30 pm. Inside the store was like stepping into an old-fashioned dry goods catalog; The unfailing reply, “I’ve got it somewhere” was seldom wrong; John loved to give penny lollipops to the children to see their faces beam with delight; When Holley died, the demise of the business soon followed; The building was torn down in the mid-1980s
